In recent news, the Federal Secretary for the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Dr. Sohail Rajput mentioned that the ICT sector of the country has achieved tremendous growth after some effective policies.
Moreover, through the Digital Pakistan initiative, the country has seen major changes in terms of technological advancements. Furthermore, this included initiatives that aim to enhance connectivity, improve digital infrastructure, increase investment in digital skills and promote entrepreneurship in Pakistan.
In addition to this, Dr. Sohail further highlighted, in a virtual GSMA Roundtable in Spain, GSMA’s contributions in transforming the digital landscape of Pakistan.
Dr. Sohail further stated the following:
“A strategic plan and roadmap for 5G technology in Pakistan is also being formulated keeping in view the aspects of Spectrum Management, Infrastructure Development, Review of Telecom Regulations and 5G applications/use cases.”
“GSMA’s Mobile World Congress provides an ideal platform for Pakistan and other countries to learn from each other by working together and collaborate at the regional level, which has significant impact across the globe”.
All in all, numerous strategies are being implemented to ensure that Pakistan is not left behind in the tech world.
