PLUMgrid, a leader of secure and scalable SDN and NFV solutions for container and OpenStack® clouds, announced today that Nayatel, a leading provider of fiber to the home (FTTH) services in Pakistan, has deployed the nation’s first OpenStack cloud based on PLUMgrid Open Networking Suite (ONS) and CloudApex.
Nayatel is a communications leader offering broadband based services to consumers and businesses. With tremendous unrelenting demand Nayatel needed to find a balance between its hallmarks of customer service and quality and accelerated provisioning times for new services. The company chose OpenStack with PLUMgrid SDN. This helped it build a cloud infrastructure with secure and scalable multi-tenancy as its platform for service delivery. Nayatel partnered with Inbox Business Technologies, the digital services Leader in Pakistan, to plan and install its OpenStack cloud.
Together, Inbox Business Technologies and PLUMgrid delivered a solution that enabled Nayatel to meet the demands of media consumption, content sharing, and big data while optimizing operational efficiency and reducing infrastructure costs. Through this OpenStack solution, Nayatel was able to leverage PLUMgrid’s micro-segmentation for secure multi-tenancy and deploy CloudApex with affinity-based GUI to visualize and monitor its virtual and physical data center resources.
“Our OpenStack networking portfolio offers one of the most mature, production-proven solutions in the industry. With more than 70 OpenStack clouds deployed, PLUMgrid has the development expertise and ecosystem partners to help companies succeed with OpenStack,” said Kash Iftikhar, vice president of Business Development and Sales for PLUMgrid. “With Inbox Business Technologies as a partner, we provided Nayatel with an OpenStack cloud solution that will grow and expand over time to onboard more developers, users, and companies that will fuel new innovation across industries.”
