Pakistan’s first instant chat messenger, TelloTalk is launching this Saturday

Tellotalk Messenger, Pakistan’s first instant chat messenger is launching this Saturday 6th of June, 2015. It is advertising fast connectivity over GPRS and Edge network while offering push to talk support, voice calling, group chats along with secure messaging features. Tellotalk has incorporated local language support in order to boost its user base while offering superior connectivity on slow networks, along with real-time messaging and emoticons availability at the time of launch.

The PTA Chairman, Dr. Ismail Shah is going to be the Chief Guest of honor at the launch on Saturday being conducted in Marriot hotel, Islamabad. Chairman Engineer Muhammad Azim of Unified developers network alliance (UDNA) will be presiding over the launch ceremony.

TelloTalk seems to be inspired by the user interface of Whatsapp, offering features like Pin code and hidden chat support. The settings tab doesn’t include many options, unlike other competitor applications. The application seems to be a work in progress, an interface that reminded me instantly of Whatsapp upon launch. The process of registration was a breeze, input your mobile number and an SMS is received which instantly activates Tellotalk. Unfortunately, I was unable to fully test any features due to a lack of users using Tellotalk within my contact list. I have reservations over the success of this app in light of so many other alternatives available.

Tellotalk is available on the Google Play Store, but the iOS version stands unavailable on the App Store as of now.
