Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, addressing the summit, said, “The SCO goals resonate with Pakistan’s national ethos, and so do the core values of the Shanghai spirit and the SCO charter with our own quest for peaceful neighborhood”.

With this achievement, new doors of opportunities for Pakistan will open, on both national and international level. This will help Pakistan to promote economy as this achievement came in when Pakistan and China are spending sums on CPEC to bolster their economies.

The SCO will not only give Pakistan a powerful platform to promote its economy, but it will also help our voice to be heard
more clearly on regional and international matters
”, said former President of FPCCI Shahid Rasheed Butt.

He further said, “Expansion of the SCO has taken place at a time when China’s ‘One Belt, One Road’ (OBOR) initiative has transformed the global economic landscape”.

The business community of Pakistan has also lauded this big achievement and termed it as a game changer for Pakistan. The business community also asserted that this will improve the relation of Pakistan with other SCO members as well.

keeping in view of becoming a full member of SCO, not only our government but the private sector of the country will thrive by this recent achievement. Investors from big countries such as Russia and China will give technical support to Pakistan and will invest in the country as well.

Moreover, recently the GDP of the country has also risen and the economy has surpassed $300 billion mark and now with this huge development, the economy of the country will grow even further.

Apart from the economy, Pakistan might seize this opportunity to normalize its tense relation with India.
