Pakistan’s 7th CIO Summit & 5th IT Showcase 2019 kicks-off at Karachi

The 7th Pakistan CIO Summit & 5th IT Showcase 2019 was held at Karachi Marriott Hotel on March 26, 2019. More than 300 delegates including CIOs, IT Heads, and IT Managers participated in this summit. Along with that, over 500 visitors got hands-on training on the latest technologies and solutions.

The 7th Pakistan CIO Summit 2019 featured keynote presentations, panel discussions, talks and solutions regarding how the CIO should approach Digital Transformation to stay ahead.

Minister of Information Science & Technology, Sindh, Mr. Taimur Talpur, started the event by delivering an inaugural speech as the Chief Guest. The President & CEO of CLICKSAT, Mr. Jahangir Khan also attended the summit as a Guest of Honor.

Russel Withers, CIO of The Aga Khan University started the first technical session with a keynote speech, followed by the presentations on different topics from:

  • Imran Khan, Managing Director, RapidCompute
  • Noman A. Said, CEO, SI Global Solutions Pvt. Ltd
  • Ikram Ahmed Khan, CEO, Business Beam

Soon after the presentations, they opened the stage for a Panel Discussion on ‘Digital Transformation – Getting Strategic’, moderated by Imran Khan who is the Director-Financial Services at SAP MENA. Following are the panelists who participated in the first panel discussion.

In the second technical session, Anila Javed conducted a mind relaxing activity, “Time Capsule”. After Anila Javed’s session, Syed Abdul Qadir, the Associate Director at A.F. Ferguson & Co. moderated another Panel Discussion on the ‘Cyber Security and Digital Transformation’ topic. The audience later asked questions from the guests mentioned below, who also exchanged their thoughts during the event.

The USA, China, UAE, Singapore, South Korea, and Pakistan presented their latest technologies during the 5th IT Showcase 2019. The main exhibitors of the show were Americom Technology, Business Beam, Clicksat, TallyMarks Consulting, The Coder by itecknologi Group of Companies, Traffic Digital, Zoho Corporation, ISACA, and PMI Karachi Chapter.

It is to be noted that Solutions Inc will also arrange another dual event next year on April 07, 2020 at the Marriott Hotel in Karachi Pakistan. The summit was organized in collaboration with E-Creatorz and TechJuice, who participated as a Strategic Partner (E-Creatorz) and Digital Media Partner (Techjuice) during the event.
