Shama Zehra, a Pakistani-born entrepreneur, has launched a KickStarter campaign for the world’s first geo-location based app for travelers around the world.
One of the youngest female entrepreneurs from Pakistan, Shama has had a tremendous career. She started her journey as an entrepreneur with a small clothing business in Pakistan right after high school. After transforming it into a revered brand in a few years, she sold it off at the tender age of 19. Since then, she has built the wealth management business at Standard Chartered Bank and, after emigrating to the United States, worked at top Wall Street firms like Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
Over the last couple of years, she has been working on her venture “Aligned Independent Advisors”, a boutique independent advisory firm on Wall Street. This stereotype-breaking woman has been featured by Forbes, Crain’s Magazine as well as Nasdaq.
“The world’s first social app that connects and rewards people who love to travel and live life to the fullest”
Jetzy is a kind of social network for travelers. It connects people with a passion for travel and unique experiences. It also gives travelers JetPoints, which can be used for travel rewards like a free dinner, spa vouchers, etc. The app encourages collaboration and lets users chat with other fellow travelers or locals, post photos and get better recommendations.
Co-founded by Shama Zehra and Ty Sawyer, Jetzy is Shama’s latest venture and this time, she has turned to KickStarter. She is looking for a modest funding goal of $5,000 to fund Jetzy and with 41 days still left in the campaign, it has already received $150. You can head over to Jetzy’s KickStarter campaign page to contribute.
The app has already been developed and is out for free on Android as well as iOS. If funded, the money will be used for technical enhancements to add people to the map, improve the database reporting and analytics and in marketing the app.
