In recent news, the Ignite National Technology Fund showcased Pakistani startups at the 4 Years From Now (4YFN) startup event where the startups’ respective products and prototypes were exhibited in order for the startup founders to pitch their ideas to investors.
The 4YFN event is an exhibition event that is a way for startup founders to connect, learn and accelerate their ideas and projects. The Pakistani startups supported by Ignite were Fowrry and YPay Financial Services. Fowrry is a mobile app for delivering fresh fruits and vegetables, restaurant food, groceries, baked items, medicines, gifts, cosmetics, directly to the customer’s doorstep with free replacement or return, creating more than 3000 jobs. On the other hand, YPay Financial Services Pvt. Ltd is a fintech startup with a vision to have onboard 1 million first-time capital markets, investors, by end of 2023.
Both Fowrry and YPay Financial Services which had been incubated at the National Incubation Centre had attracted numerous international investors at the event while others had commended the steps taken by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan regarding the business aspect for upcoming startups in Pakistan.
Moreover, the Ambassador of Pakistan for Spain, Shujaat Ali Rathore, interacted with the startups and appreciated the vision of their businesses.
