In recent news, a Pakistani trucking startup called Trukkr has secured nearly $600,000 in seed funding. The seed funding process was led by Peter Findley which is an early-stage venture investment firm, located in New York, focused on accelerating the startup ecosystem. The investment was further backed up by Pakistan-focused Kinnow VC, Kargo Technologies founder, and executives from Cue Health.
Through this investment, Trukkr aims to redesign Pakistan’s logistics by helping businesses transport goods and ensure that the trucking marketplace is secure and meets the competitive market rates. As of now, Trukkr has provided more than 20,000 trucking movements for numerous businesses across Pakistan.
According to Trukkr, co-founder, Sheryar Bawany:
“With an experienced operations team led by the founders, and a strong, comprehensive, and localized tech platform built in-house, we have completed more than 20,000 trips since we started operations in 2020, and the positive response from our customers has been overwhelming.”
With the recently acquired funding, Trukkr will be able to expand its operations and even implement the latest technologies for its proceedings. The startup has a built-in logistics management platform that can be utilized by companies and allow them to manage their on-road fleet, clients, and transporters. However, Trukkr provides its respective platform free of cost for regular customers.
All in all, other logistics and trucking companies and startups will have a new competitor to deal with.
