The goal of EuSPMF is to review the recent progress in the area of phytochemicals; and their implementation in medicine and food. So that the phytochemical food (e.g.
Broccoli, cabbage, collard greens, kale, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts
) progression can be scaled and commercialized and safer and cheap food can be provided to the masses. The industry of phytochemicals is still in progress and its technological developments are still far from being commercialization but society is growing rapidly.
As the name suggests 1-EuSPMF was the first ever Symposium organized by the International Association of Dietetic Nutrition and Safety (IADNS) and the Institute of Food Technology and Biochemistry of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, and supported by the Serbian Chemical Society, and the Phytochemical Society of Europe (PSE). All these organizations spend a lot of resources and time on this event as the need for high-quality food products, that have beneficial effects on human health is increased as the more unhealthy synthetic food has spread all across the globe, there is a need for such thing as “healthy yet tasty food”.
