According to the most recent Henley Passport Index, Pakistan’s passport is still one of the worst in the world, ranking lower than passports from countries like Palestine, which have experienced significant conflict. Strict visa restrictions, security concerns, and weaker diplomatic relations all contribute to Pakistan’s dismal score, which stands at 102. These factors limit the global access that Pakistani residents can enjoy.
With a Pakistani passport, you can enter 33 countries without a visa; only countries include Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq. For nearly five years, the green passport was ranked lower than other countries, including Liberia, Somalia, Sudan, Haiti, and Chad.
However, out of 227 countries, Singapore does not require a visa for its nationals to visit 195. Countries that share second place have access to 192 destinations: Japan, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
Using information from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and studies conducted by Henley & Partners, the Henley Passport Index illustrates the impact of diplomatic power on travel opportunities. In its analysis of these rankings, the newly published Global Mobility Report 2024 reveals a growing disparity in the freedom of movement across different regions.
