Dr. Shahid Mahmud, Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Group received the laurel of Distinguished Fellow Award 2016 by Eisenhower Fellowships.
Eisenhower Fellow Award is an annual recognition of an Eisenhower Fellow who has made ground breaking contributions to their field and in turn to the global network of Eisenhower Fellow of 1500 members. Dr. Shahid went to U.S. in 2001 to the Eisenhower Fellowship Program. Whilst awarding him, Christine Whitman, Board of Trustees of the EF Program appreciated Dr. Shahid Mahmud for his contributions:

Dr. Shahid lead the leading IT company of Pakistan, Interactive Group that worked towards the development of local telecom, IT, wireless and media infrastructure. He has served on various federal committees, where one of the committee was responsible for developing and implementing a Telecom & IT Policy for Pakistan.
Dr. Shahid has also pursued philanthropic endeavors, meanwhile actively participating in youth-oriented projects and community service. When the devastating earthquake hit Kashmir in 2005, Dr. Shahid took the charge of devising a disaster emergency plan. He has also worked with another Eisenhower Fellow, Dr. Abdul Bari Khan to extend the network of Indus Hospital, a philanthropic hospital for the underprivileged located in Karachi.
