Pakistan to get investment of $10 million from Dutch broadband company

A Dutch broadband company has announced that it will be investing $10 million in Pakistan. The Dutch company named Augere Pakistan made its debut in Pakistan in 2010 and since then the company is expanding its operation in the country. This move by the company is its commitment to investing more in the country.

The company was the first one to deploy LTE in 11 cities of Pakistan, to promote and upgrade internet services in the country.

Augere Pakistan will be investing the money in quarters, first, the company will be injecting $3 million into the internet sector of Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Islamabad to enhance internet service infrastructure within the cities.

Jamal Nasir Khan CEO, Augere said “Augere LTE would offer reliable LTE connectivity with optimum latency over licensed frequency band that too at highly affordable pricing than Fiber, VSAT and Radio links. LTE deployment time is practically less than 1 hour which has no comparison while working with existing media available in the market”.

What Pakistan will get from the broadband company’s investment

  • Fast internet service up to 100 Mbps per customer
  • The company as of now is giving LTE service to mobile phone users, but with the new initiative, corporate clients can enjoy fast internet service in their respective offices.

  • Unlimited volume with high spectral efficiency

The company had served some of the biggest names in the world of telecoms, ISP’s, Banks, FMCGs, Media Houses, and SME’s previously.
