Pakistan Rolls Out First Locally Assembled Seres 3 EV

KARACHI: Regal Automobiles Industries Ltd (RAIL) made history in Pakistan’s automotive industry on Saturday by launching the Seres 3, the country’s first locally produced electric SUV, at its Lahore plant.

Top company officials were at the event, which showed how ambitious Pakistan can be when it comes to using clean energy and improving electric transportation.

This accomplishment was emphasized by Adeel Usman, Managing Director of RAIL, as evidence of the car industry’s capacity to propel Pakistan’s shift towards environmentally friendly transportation. Furthermore, he mentioned that the Seres 3 would revolutionize the local car scene, establishing the country as a leading center for electric mobility research and development.

The Seres 3 costs Rs. 8.39 million and comes with a free 22kW charger. It has 160.9 horsepower, 300Nm of torque, and a range of 403 kilometers per charge (NEDC) due to its 49.34 kWh Lithium-Ion Battery.

It has sophisticated features like a 10.25-inch high-definition touchscreen, an electric panoramic sunroof, many airbags, and intelligent driving modes such as ECO and Sport.

You can charge the EV quickly (20-80%) in 30 minutes or slowly (6 hours). Advanced Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Lane Departure Warning (LDWS), and Forward Collision Warning (FCW) systems guarantee a safe and up-to-date driving experience.

In Pakistan, the government’s pro-EV laws have helped pave the way for the Seres 3, an innovative and environmentally conscious vehicle that aims to be a game-changer in the industry. The release shows that more and more people want environmentally friendly cars, and it gives the local auto industry new chances to fight on a global level.
