In recent news, the World Health Organization’s COVAX facility donated nearly three million doses of the Moderna Vaccine which reached Islamabad by Monday morning.
Moreover, Pakistan has also received four consignments of coronavirus vaccines from the facility which includes Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca vaccines. In addition, the National Disaster Management Authority mentioned that the country also received 0.2 million doses of the CanSino vaccine which were handed over to the health ministry.
Through these supplies, the government aims to inoculate over 40 percent of the population with the COVID vaccine by the end of August. As of now, 20 million people have been immunized while 3,752 new COVID cases arrived. With the Delta variant of the virus spreading further, it is advised the people should take all safety precautions and not take the delta variant of COVID-19 lightly.
