Pakistan-made “Ra’ad” cruise missile successfully tested

Pakistan has successfully tested long-range cruise missile, making it one of the few countries that have access to modern cruise technology.

Named “Ra’ad”, the missile is capable of hitting target at a distance of 350 kilometers and can hit its target on land and in the sea with the utmost accuracy. Ra’ad has been built from the ground up in Pakistan, a huge achievement for the country considering the fact that only a few countries across the world have access to such a modern complicated technology.

“Achievement of this milestone will surely enhance strategic stability and contribute to peace in the region,” said Director General Strategic Plan Division Lieutenant General Mazhar Jamil.

The missile is also equipped with modern technology, allowing it to remain invisible and escape detection by travelling at a very low height.

Pakistan today conducted a successful Flight Test of the indigenously developed Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) “Ra’ad”. The Ra’ad ALCM, with a range of 350 Km, enables Pakistan to achieve air delivered strategic standoff capability on land and at sea.
