Pakistan Electric Power Company, Pepco, website is defaced by Pakistani Hackers

Pakistani hackers group, Pak Cyber Expert, has hacked Pakistan Electric Power Company (Pepco) website a while ago. The hackers have added this text on the website as can be seen in the picture.

“Congratulations on website load shedding!”

This hacking incident comes at a point when the nation is frustrated with the massive load-shedding happening all over the country, bundled with scorching heat which lead to loss of many precious lives in the past couple of weeks. In the holy month of Ramadan, when the nation is keeping fasts, load shedding is making everything totally unbearable.

The government of Pakistan has failed once again to keep the promises that there will be no load-shedding in the month of Ramadan, especially during the Sehri and Iftar timings. This hacking seems more like a case of revenge from hackers who want to put the government in an awkward position by informing them, how does website load-shedding feels like.
