Pakistan and Canada have established an IT Forum to promote cooperation for the mutual benefits of two countries. Thomas Tewlmedhim Chief Executive Officer of a Canadian IT firm Booking Automation said, that cooperation in cutting edge technologies will reap benefits for both Pakistan and Canada in the days to come.
Thomas in a meeting with the President of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Syed Zia Alumdar Hussain said he was in contact with 64 leading global companies who showed an interest of availing human resource and IT experts of Pakistan for their online businesses.
The CEO of Canadian IT firm said that two delegates from Pakistan had visited Canada and had productive meetings with 24 different companies. Out of those 24, six companies had already started their workings.
He added the handmade products of Pakistan are very popular in Europe. In order to promote those handicrafts in their markets, a company had been created which will sell those artifacts online and 90% profit of that sale will be handed over to the concerned artist.
President FCCI highlighted the importance of information technology and welcomed the formation of an office of Canadian IT firm in Faisalabad. FCCI was seeking to set up an IT park in Faisalabad for effective training of their human resource students, he added.
Mr. Zia mentioned, the Amazon company grew into a mega giant die to its online sale and assured that FCCI will provide the best facilities to the Canadian IT firm to settle and begin their operations effectively.
He also said that to boost tourism and to bring foreign investment in the country, the present government had launched a new online visa system for foreign visitors all across the world.
Senior Vice President FCCI Mian Tanveer Ahmed, and many engineers including Asim Muneer, Farhan Tufail, Shahid Mumtaz Bajwa among others, also attended the meeting.
