The federal government of Pakistan has announced a new revised fee structure for passports, including e-passports, machine-readable passports (MRPs), and replacement passports for those lost or stolen.
The cost of a 36-page passport that is valid for five years is Rs3,000 for normal processing and Rs15,000 for urgent processing in the case of e-passports. The cost of a 75-page e-passport for normal processing is Rs15,500, while urgent processing costs Rs27,000.
Normal processing fees for a 36-page, 10-year e-passport are Rs13,500, while urgent processing fees are Rs24,750. The cost of a 75-page e-passport with a 10-year validity is Rs16,500 for normal processing and Rs27,000 for urgent processing.
The government has also revised the fees for machine-readable passports (MRPs).The standard charge for a 36-page MRP that is valid for five years is Rs4,500, while the urgent fee is Rs7,500. The cost of a fast-track processing service for this passport type is Rs13,500. The standard charge for a 72-page MRP that is valid for a term of 10 years is Rs6,700. The urgent fee is Rs11,200, and the fast-track service is Rs16,200.
The cost of a 100-page MRP that is valid for five years is Rs9,000 for normal processing, Rs18,000 for urgent processing, and Rs23,000 for fast-track service. The standard fee for a 10-year, 100-page MRP is Rs13,500, while the urgent fee is Rs17,000 and the fast-track fee is Rs32,000.
In addition to regular passport fees, the government has set a fee schedule for replacing lost passports. The first replacement will cost Rs54,000, while the third replacement will incur a fee of Rs356,000.
