Pakathon launches online course modules via new University

In a small period of time, Pakathon has gained the reputation of being one of the most credible organizations. They have about 15 city- and university- chapters where they regularly organize events, webinars, hackathons, and online forums. In all this, their main aim is to help people launch their businesses and also connect them with a global network.

Pakistanis have taken several commendable initiatives recently to guide the youth and reverse the ‘brain drain’. Pakathon’s latest initiative is in accordance with that trend. Called Pakathon University, this initiative aims to educate those looking to set up and run their own startups. Via this university forum, Pakathon will be sharing eight-part online modules for technology and startup enthusiasts.

Their first course was released in time for the Independence Day and is called ‘When Pakistan was a Startup’. Written by Nabeel Hussain, the course provides a look at the formation of Pakistan from the lens of entrepreneurship and how the All-India Muslim League used lean startup principles during the Pakistan movement. So basically when you study this course you would be analyzing how a startup is formed – except that the startup, in this case, is Pakistan. The Pakathon team’s main goal behind this course is for people of all ages to understand the importance of entrepreneurship throughout Pakistan’s history, from the country’s inception until today.

We have to say that the course is an unconventional take on entrepreneurship. We usually don’t see courses being taught with such an approach. This course is bound to grab the attention of even the most uninterested ones of you. Using Pakistan’s history, which all of us are aware of, the Pakathon team has created valuable lessons for those new to the concept of entrepreneurship.

People taking part in these courses offered by Pakathon University will get benefit from a wide range of topics. They will be participating in valuable discussion forums, exploring further reading material and will also get to interact with a larger online community.
