The Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar exhibited 40 projects during their Final Year Project Exhibition 2018 held in the university.
The graduating students showcased projects that are important to local market liability and have practical usages. The projects focused on sectors across security, remote sensing, renewable energy, and automobile. The exhibition was organized under the supervision of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Chairman Professor Dr. M. Naeem Khan.
UET Peshawar Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Iftikhar Hussain was the Chief Guest on the exhibition. He viewed all the projects and applauded the efforts of the graduating students to complete their final year projects. He said, “Such projects minimize the gap between the students and the industry as a number of leading industrialists have also been invited to the exhibition.”
Professor Dr. Naeem Khan called the event as important experience and a regular ritual of mechanical engineering undergraduate program. The Dean Faculty of Basic Sciences and Humanities Prof Dr. Sirajul Islam and Dean Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Prof Dr. Rizwan Gul, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. A panel of judges from the Mechanical Engineering Department evaluated the projects depending on their presentation and work efficiency.
Last month in July, a total of 15,859 candidates appeared in entrance test of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar, conducted at designated centers across the province.
According to details, the Entrance Test for Academic Session 2018-19 of the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar was successfully held simultaneously at Islamia Collegiate Ground, Peshawar, University of Haripur, Abbottabad, University of Malakand, Jehanzeb College, Swat; Cadet College Kohat; Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan, and Gomal Medical College, DI Khan.
