Oppo F7, new cameras, new display and a notch

Oppo is refreshing its flagship F series with the new smartphone Oppo F7. Oppo plans to introduce two models Oppo F7 and F7 youth with 25 MP front facing cameras power by AI. Oppo F7 will be the flagship with all the specs, while the Oppo F7 youth will have a lower price and specs.

Oppo F7, the flagship smartphone, is expected to have a 6.2 FHD+ 19:9 display, with an alleged screen to body ratio of 89.09 percent. The front-facing 25MP camera is said to have AI along with improved beauty mode and HDR just like Oppo F5 “Selfie Expert”. Apparently, the smartphone manufacturers are quickly picking up the bezel-less display trend with the notch similar to iPhone X.

 

Oppo plans to release F7 on 26th March. With the launch date drawing near, Oppo is teasing F7 with small details. Oppo F7 will have Snapdragon 650 chipset or MediaTek Helio P6 just like Oppo R15. F7 will be powered by in-house latest software Color OS 4.0, based on Andriod Oreo 8.0.

Oppo has quietly emerged as one of the top smartphone brands in Asia owing to its low-cost yet great camera quality smartphones. According to a report revealed by IDC, Oppo was the 2nd biggest smartphone manufacturer in South East Asia for 2017, leaving behind smartphone giants like Huawei and Apple. Oppo F7 predecessor Oppor F5 also remained one of the top-most Googled items in 2017.
