Oppo F5 is finally official. The phone has been leaked a couple of times and some of the rumors about the phone were true and some were falls (That’s how the rumor mill works).
The Oppo F5 comes with a 20MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1/2.8″ sensor size. The back camera is 16 MP with f/1.8 aperture and an LED flash. Surprisingly, the front camera does not have an LED flash. Both cameras are designed to take excellent photos in any light conditions. The camera comes with AI beauty which highlights features like eyes, nose, jawline or cheekbones in selfies and brightens your eyes. The front camera can also capture portraits with artifical blur.
The fingerprint sensor has been removed from the front and moved to the back. The also supports Face unlock but Oppo warns that the Face unlock is not as good as the fingerprint sensor (That’s not a proper way to convince people to use a new feature though).
Oppo F5 features a 6.0-inch display with 1080 x 2160 resolution and 18:9 display ratio. The phone comes in 2 variants. A 32GB storage with 4GB RAM variant and a 64GB storage with 6GB RAM variant. Of course, you’ll have to pay more to get the better variant. It has a MediaTek MT6763T Helio P23 chipset with Octa-core CPU. It comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and will soon be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo.
The phone costs $300 and it is expected to launch soon in Pakistan with a price tag of around PKR 30,000.
