Only one Pakistani Business School in top 300 schools of the world

The Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) now ranks amongst the top 300 business schools in the world, according to QS World University Rankings by Subject 2017.

Published annually since 2011, the QS World University Rankings by Subject aims to highlight the world’s top-performing institutions in a broad spectrum of individual academic areas and help students identify leading universities in their chosen field of study. Featuring about 46 subjects, this year’s ranking is the largest of its kind.

The institutions are ranked on the basis of academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty staff with Ph.D., citations per paper and international faculty. LUMS, one of the top universities of Pakistan, ranks 701+ in the overall QS ranking and 111 in Asian University Rankings.

LUMS has three existing Schools: Business, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science and Engineering; it is establishing a new School of Law to be operational within two years. LUMS business school SDSB boasts 85% foreign qualified faculty from the world’s top institutions, 6 research centers generating topnotch management research with a global impact and 16 international student exchange programs with some of the best international universities. Commenting on this major accomplishment, Jawad Syed, Ph.D., Dean and Professor of Organisational Behaviour, SDSB said,

Harvard University, MIT and Oxford University dominate the rankings in most of the subjects. Other top universities include University of Cambridge, Stanford University and the University of California.
