OnePlus fans will get to see the OnePlus 6T a little earlier than expected. The Chinese technology firm has just announced that it is bringing the launch of its latest flagship smartphone forward by one day. This means the release of the OnePlus 6T will now take place on October 29 at 11am rather than the original October 30 date.
Soon after Apple announced its launch event for October 30 and that too in New York, OnePlus had a torrid 24-hours since Apple decided to announce a major event on the same day as the OnePlus 6T was supposed to be revealed. In an official post, the Chinese manufacturer said that if they plan to stick to the original launch date then there are chances that the OnePlus 6T launch will be overshadowed by Apple. So, the company has decided to prepone the launch by OnePlus 6T by one day. As per the new changes, OnePlus will now launch its high-end smartphone — OnePlus 6T on October 29 in New York.
Although getting an early glimpse of the OnePlus 6T will be good news for some fans others may not be so excited about the date change. OnePlus has invited members of its community to join them in New York for the grand unveiling and it could mean many will now have to change their travel plans to attend the event. “To those affected, we know sorry isn’t good enough. So, we will do everything in our power to make things right,” added OnePlus.
The leaks suggest that then new OnePlus 6T will be coming out with a new UI, the company on its official forum teased a new User Interface that will provide a fast, smooth and burden-less experience with faster navigation gestures.
The display is expected to be a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen, a Full HD+ resolution (2340×1080 pixels) and a 91.5% screen-to-body ratio. Even with a notch that is an impressive figure. Storage will come in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB flavors, with no mention of microSD card storage expandability. The phone is also expected to feature, company’s very first in-display fingerprint sensor. However, it was also announced officially that OnePlus 6T will not feature a headphone jack.
OnePlus is also expected to push their own wireless Bluetooth headphones — an upgrade over the original OnePlus Bullets — as a way to appease those that are staunch users of the standard. Ideally, we will see better quality Bluetooth and USB Type-C headphones to help aid the transition.
