OnePlus 5 becomes the company’s fastest selling product ever

OnePlus, the company known for making low-priced flagship killer smartphones, has announced that its latest smartphone OnePlus 5 has become the company’s fastest selling product.

Shortly after the smartphone was announced, the product’s selling metrics were being measured. According to the first batch of figures, OnePlus 5 outran the demand of other company’s products. Both the models of the smartphone, the 6GB and 8GB model, quickly went out of stock.

Being announced just yesterday, the smartphone hasn’t yet gone into the markets as of yet. The figures collected, hence, are a result of early sales that happened at the company’s website or at the makeshift shops that company sprung up during the smartphone launch. Huge rush was observed at these shops with witnesses claiming that the waiting lines stretched across an entire city block.

Carl Pei, Co-founder at OnePlus, tweeted

Over time, OnePlus has witnessed increase in its demand for it offered flagship level features in low prices. This smartphone, however, is the company’s most expensive smartphone after OEM decided to slightly increase the prices. The smartphone is scheduled to go on sale on 27th of June.
