The OnePlus 13 will soon be available in several international markets, including India. The debut date of the company’s flagship handset, the OnePlus 13, will be announced soon after its release in China. Since the smartphone manufacturer has already confirmed the worldwide release of the OnePlus 13 series, it’s safe to assume that the 13R, the successor to the 12R, will be part of the range. This R version is likely a redesigned OnePlus Ace 5, set to debut in China on December 26. In October, the OnePlus 13’s flagship model was unveiled in China.
The company has announced that the OnePlus 13 series will be revealed worldwide on January 7. The live stream of the launch event in India will start at 9 pm IST. Without a specific venue mentioned in the release, OnePlus’ Winter Launch Event seems to be a virtual event. The word “series” implies that the day will see the release of multiple smartphones. Both the OnePlus 13 and the rumoured 13R are likely to be part of it.
We already know that the regular OnePlus 13 will be available in Midnight Ocean, Black Eclipse, and Arctic Dawn. Also confirmed earlier was the handset’s availability in India through Amazon. Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 will be preinstalled on the phone. Several photography and note-taking features powered by AI will be available.
It is believed that the OnePlus 13’s international release will mirror the current Chinese model. A 6.82-inch Quad-HD+ LTPO AMOLED screen with Dolby Vision, a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits, and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz will probably be on the display. With up to 1 terabyte of UFS 4.0 storage and 24 gigabytes of LPDDR5X RAM, the phone could have a Snapdragon 8 Elite system on chip.
The OnePlus 13 Global could come with a trio of 50-megapixel cameras: a main shooter, an ultrawide, and a third sensor with periscope telephoto lens and three times optical zoom. A 32-megapixel sensor might be part of the front-facing camera. A 100W wired and 50W wireless charging capability, along with a 6,000mAh battery, are likely to be included.
