NUST to open campuses in UAE and Saudia Arabia

National University of Sciences and Technology is going to open at least two international campuses, reports Gulf News.

While attending an alumni meet session in Dubai, Rector NUST Lt-General (retired) Naweed Zaman told the international media, that NUST was planning to expand to other countries. The rector further told that the university administration was working hard on these issues and wants to open these campuses within next two or three years. At least two campuses were to be opened, one in United Arab Emirates and one in Saudia Arabia.

“Our priority is to open the NUST campus in the UAE first as we are talking to the authorities concerned,” Lt-Gen Zaman told Gulf News. “We are increasing our visibility around the world to attract more Pakistani expatriates and foreign students,” the Rector of NUST further said. The alumni meet and greet, by the name of NUST Alumni Convention held in Dubai on 10th of March.

NUST is regarded as one of the top universities of Pakistan. Recently the university made it to top 500 and it has also been listed in the World’s top 150 young universities. The university operates under the collaboration of Pakistani government and army.
