NUST Achieves Global Recognition with 43 Researchers Among World’s Top 2% Scientists

In an extraordinary accomplishment for Pakistani academia, 43 researchers from the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) have been named among the world’s top 2% scientists for 2024, as per an annual ranking by Stanford University and Elsevier.

The recognition elevates these NUST researchers to being among the Global 100,000 top scientists in the world highlighting the university’s commitment to cutting-edge research and academic excellence.

NUST ranked # 353 in the world and # 64 among the Asian universities according to QS University Rankings, has been gradually ascending this list in recent years and offered 9 researchers in 2021, 23 in 2022 and 31 in 2023.

The Stanford and Elsevier report created the scientists’ ranking system using the composite index that takes into account several bibliometrics including citations, h-index, and authorship rank. 43 NUST researchers from 10 member institutions and 15 academic disciplines including Artificial Intelligence, Nanotechnology, Cybersecurity, Fluid Mechanics and more, illustrate NUST’s multifaceted strengths.
