Nope, you are not being fooled, it is Google’s new sign-in page

Despite being the second most valuable company globally, with a net worth of over $580 billion, Google has been subject to a fair share of scandals in recent times. Their privacy policy, among a host of other things, have been pointed out to be lacking in one way or another by users and national organizations numerous times within a period of 6 months.

In a bid to counter user complaints and improve user experience, Google has released a new sign-in page. The new page has an updated logo of the company along with the addition of an outline around the email address text field. Furthermore, the initial headings have been aligned centrally.

The change is expected to be implemented on June 14th for G-Suite sign-in screens whereas the sign-in screens of the likes of Gmail etc. are likely to be the same for the next few weeks.

Some industry veterans remarked how the new sign-in page might look like a phishing scheme to users who are used to the old layout, which is why a mass-awareness program needs to be run in order to ensure users are aware of the imminent changes.

In their blog post, Google has suggested network administrators relay news of the changes to their team members to minimize chances of any inconvenience.
