Since flip smartphones have made their return in the market, the Finnish giant has been bringing back upgraded versions of famous Nokia phones. This time, Nokia has brought back a revamped version of the 2720 Flip phone with 4G and WhatsApp built-in.
At IFA 2019, Nokia revealed a number of new phones, but the eyes of the public were stuck at the Nokia 2720 Flip phone. It is an affordable phone with all the important features, the Nokia 2720 would cost about Rs. 15,500 in Pakistan. The old version of Nokia 2720 was launched in about a decade ago, at that time it made a huge fan base. The new version is a treat for Nokia flip phones users. Nokia 2720 comes with the KaiOS which supports all the important features we get in android, including Google Map, Google Assistant, Whatsapp, Twitter and Facebook.
This version has two display screens, the main display is 2.8 inch with 240*340 pixels resolution and outside the phone, there is another display, smaller in size with 1.3 inches 240*240 pixels screen which allows the user to check notifications and answer the call without opening the phone.
The phone is running on a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 processor with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. The storage can be expanded with the 32 GB microSD card. It has only one camera on the back and no selfie camera. The only camera is 2 MP with image and video recording capability.
Nokia 2720 will be coming in two different variants with single or dual Sim support. It has 4G, Wi-Fi, Hotspot and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity. When it comes on battery, the new flip phone has 1500 mAh removable battery, which can last 18 days on standby and 10 hours talk time.
The flip phones are making a huge comeback as the Motorola is also bringing back the new Razr flip phone in the market soon, but that is going to cost huge as compared to Nokia 2720, it is expected to come with the price tag of 1500 US dollars.
