Video game company Nintendo is planning to release new ‘The Legend of Zelda’ game to smartphones. The Wall Street Journal reported.
The company is likely to release the game for iOS and Android users in 2018. The gaming giant has decided to bring the new game to smartphones due to the exceptional success of previous game ‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ on Nintendo Switch, company’s console.
As of now, the name of new Zelda game has not been revealed by the company.
Nintendo CEO Tatsumi Kimishima said, “The company planned to release two to three new smartphone games in the financial year ending March 2018”.
Till date, the gaming giant has released three mobiles games, Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes and Miitomo. Each game is different; Miitomo is an interactive social network game while Fire Emblem Heroes a free-to-play strategy game. Super Mario Run is a side -scrolling, auto-running video game, where the player controls Mario or other characters as they automatically run across the screen collecting coins and other awards.
Apart from Nintendo, tech giant Google has also updated “Allo” – the company’s messaging app. With this new update, one can generate custom cartoon stickers out of their selfie.
This tool is not just a for customization like Snapchat’s Bitmoji. Instead, Google’s version implements machine learning and neural networks to map facial features to animated versions.
Google worked with highly qualified artists to make illustrations for emojis and sticker packs. 563 quadrillion images/emojis of different combinations can be generated from the artwork.
Nintendo hopes that the new game will hit the charts.
