NFT Sales Skyrocket to $93M as Ethereum Surpasses Bitcoin

Sales of non-fungible tokens have increased by 22.5% weekly, reaching $93 million, according to the most recent statistics.

The NFT market is seeing increased volume and other measures while the crypto market is showing gradual signs of recovery. Take a look at this:

  • From $77.6 million last week, NFT sales volume jumped to $93 million this week.
  • In terms of transaction volume, the Ethereum network has surpassed Bitcoin’s network.
  • Buyers of NFTs almost doubled from 263,804 last week to 494,666 this week.
  • With 252,401 members, the number of NFT sellers has also increased by 108%.

Comparison of Ethereum & Bitcoin

In terms of sales volume during the past week, Ethereum has surpassed Bitcoin, which has been holding its position as the top cryptocurrency.

From $26.6 million last week, the volume of Ethereum NFT sales has increased. As of this writing, sales have reached $33.4 million, an increase of more than 30%. With a weekly sales volume of $21.6 million, Bitcoin has also shown a 36% spike.

In contrast, wash trading accounted for $5.3 million of Ethereum’s volume. When compared to the $902,000 wash trade for Bitcoin, this is a significant increase.

According to Cryptoslam data, Solana is still holding strong at #3, as it was last week as well. The weekly volume of NFT sales for Solana was $16.6 million.

Next on the list are Mythos Chain (MYTH), with sales of $5.5 million, and Polygon, with sales of $3.9 million.The number of NFT buyers has remained at 192,543, with Solana maintaining its lead. From 60,115 last week, this is an impressive 220% increase.

DMarket Holds Top Position for Over Three Weeks

Like the last two weeks, DMarket stays at the top of the list with $5.2 million in sales. Having said that, compared to $8.02 million last week, sales are down nearly 30%.

According to the sales numbers, Ordinals is in second place with $4.86 million. Within the past week, sales of this NFT collection have increased by 1,800%.
