Rolls-Royce has introduced a new car in Rolls-Royce Phantom series and as you can expect, it is one of the most luxury cars on the planet. Rolls-Royce Phantom series is known for luxury, exclusivity, and world-class engineering. The last car launched in the Phantom series was the Phantom VII which was launched back in 2003 and now, after around 14 years, the company has launched next generation Phantom, the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII.
The new Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII comes with a new technological advanced feature called “The Gallery”. It is a dashboard panel made up of a single piece of glass allowing three-dimensional artworks of various materials to be installed behind it. Rolls-Royce will keep working with world’s greatest artists to make the artwork for their new car. Currently, the company has worked with some well known artists to show what is possible. Currently these artworks are present in the new Rolls-Royce:
If you don’t like art, you can still customize the dashboard by using the old treatments like silk, wood, metal or leather, the choice is all yours.
Here’s what the CEO of the Rolls-Royce, Müller Ötvö, had to say about the new feature:
“The Gallery is an innovation that furthers Rolls-Royce’s unparalleled bespoke capabilities, Patrons are now invited to commission artworks for their own personal Gallery within Phantom, in essence, bringing art, within art.”
On the inside the New Phantom comes with a 563 bhp 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that can do 0-60mph in 5.3secs. The speed is electronically limited to 150mph. Moreover, it has a self-levelling air suspension which makes millions of calculations per second reacting to acceleration and body roll along with the steering inputs. Moreover, the dual cameras integrated in the windscreen of the car see the road ahead and adjust the suspension proactively at speeds of up to 100km/h to give you the best ride possible.
The Rolls-Royce engine uses a Satellite Aided Transmission which uses the satellite navigation data to change gears in advance to give users a smoother driving experience. Isn’t it amazing?
Other features included in the new Rolls-Royce are Alertness Assistant, Night Vision and Vision Assist, which will improve the night time driving. Pedestrian and cross-traffic warnings are also included in the new car.
