New plans with Plan9 this year

Plan9 has been thoroughly covered by The AppJuice this year. As a blend of IT and entrepreneurship it provides the teams with a delightful experience. Already rendered the best experience by the teams who have been incubated at Plan9, it offers an environment for the team members to be highly productive. With access to finest technology, seasoned mentors, professional advice and productive criticism the work they produce gets a taste of better branding, product development and overall pitch.

A monthly stipend for 6 months to give this budding entrepreneurial talent with innovative ideas a kick start to enter the competitive real world markets is a super plus. An overwhelming response was seen when Plan9 invited applications for their 3rd round. A whooping 1800 applications from all over the country, shortlisted 69 best teams and the Lahore Launch pad was all set.

The judges’ panel at the Plan9 consisted some of the most exceptional men from IT sector in Lahore namely Umar Saif, Nabeel A. Qadeer, Khurram Zafar, Zafar Khan, Badar khushnood and Uzair Shahid.

58 teams showed up to pitch their entrepreneurial ideas. 5 minutes pitching with 2 minutes reserved for questions by the judges resulted in 22 exceptional teams to be qualified for the next round. The second day started off with teams attending mentoring sessions, prototype development and pitch practice.

Tomorrow the 3rd Day of Launch Pad will come to an end after the final selection and we will have the best teams and the best ideas of Plan9’s 3rd round.  The AppJuice team will also be there to witness everything live.

The Islamabad and Karachi launch pad are scheduled to be held soon. Karachi, the business hub and Islamabad, the city with its own new found aura will lead to a lot more in coming weeks.

We wish all the teams a very good luck!
