Netsol Technologies will kick off its 2nd Throw-A-Thon today with expected participation of over 200

Netsol Technologies is organizing their 2nd hackathon with a huge expected participation. With around 200 participants from all over Pakistan, gathered together to shape the future with their innovative ideas centered around entrepreneurship and the much talked about virtual reality. The participants will work together for the next two days to think and prototype innovative solutions.

It is a 3-day long event, sponsored by Coca Cola and the Scotland based 3D mapping company eeGeo. Netsol recently signed a deal with the 3D mapping and virtual reality platform, eeGeo and is looking for innovative ways to build on the virtual reality part of the business.

In addition, the disruptive transportation company, Uber is the official transportation partner, providing free rides to the participants all weekend, which has sparked much excitement amongst the attendees.

Faizaan Ghauri, VP of Strategy at NetSol, commented,

“We are really excited about this Throw-A-Thon. After the successful one last year, we believe that this year will be the best Hackathon ever hosted in Pakistan.

The 3 day event is jam packed with exciting workshops by mentors such as Ahmad Nawaz, Country Lead of Mobility Apps at Google, Bart Denny Senior Vice President of Product at eeGeo and Zubin Davar, Product and Partnerships Marketing Manager at Google.

After the successful contract signing between eeGeo and NetSol. It is expected that NetSol will be on a hiring spree and will be interviewing the smartest participants of the competition.

The participants can also experience virtual reality by using the first HTC Vive in Pakistan.
