The partnership will allow both the companies to exchange technology, knowledge, and expertise to promote entrepreneurship across Pakistan and Sultanate Oman.
The Nest i/o – P@SHA’s Technology Incubator – is proud to announce our new strategic partnership with Technology Advancement & Investment Company LLC, an Oman based Accelerator to share and extend up-to-date technology, knowledge, and Seed Investments through the Seed Accelerator Fund & Program. The MoU was signed between Jehan Ara, President P@SHA and The Nest i/o, and Sharifa Albarani, Managing Director Oman Accelerator Fund.
The Oman Accelerator Fund is a seed stage fund and accelerator program, founded by the Oman Tech Fund, advised by 500 Startups. The Omani Accelerator program offers growth hacking tools, mentoring, and investment in tech startups over a period of 3 months. The Nest i/o, is a technology incubator and community hub launched by the Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT & ITES (P@SHA) with global partners Google for Entrepreneurs and Samsung, and through a supporting grant from the US State Department. The Nest i/o is focused on providing budding entrepreneurs with space, infrastructure, facilities and knowledge sessions as well as access to a network of mentors and potential investors.
The partnership between the two companies aims to explore opportunities to develop an entrepreneurial ecosystem in both Sultanate Oman and Pakistan through exchange of expertise, knowledge and technology. The main focus of Oman Accelerator Fund is on investing in the post-product stage startups based on user traction and evidence of product/market fit.
Under this MoU, the startups incubated at The Nest i/o will have the added advantage of having the opportunity to be part of The Oman Accelerator program after successfully graduating from The Nest i/o where they receive space, mentoring, access to a wide network, investment and a lot more. Startups from across Pakistan who are not incubated at The Nest i/o will also be able to participate in this program through a filtering process. This partnership between the two companies is a big step forward towards building a stronger community for entrepreneurs and startups in the region.
