ISLAMABAD: The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (CERT) has issued an advisory due to a severe security vulnerability that has been found in Microsoft’s Windows operating system.
According to the advice, this flaw might make systems vulnerable to hacking and lead to the theft of sensitive data. Unauthorised individuals may be able to access sensitive information, including user names, domain credentials, and passwords, even if they do not open any files.
This security hole is present in Windows 7 all the way up to Windows 11. In order to reduce potential dangers, CERT suggests developing a solid security plan.
Users should be cautious while accessing shared folders, discs, and email attachments, according to the National Cyber Emergency Response Team PKCERT. It is recommended that users use complicated passwords and update them often.
Also, people should not use the same password for different accounts. Users are also encouraged to update their passwords frequently.
The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (PKCERT) has stressed the significance of anti-hacking and data theft precautions. Without these safety measures, data theft and system hacking could happen.
