Nayatel, a Pakistani broadband company, has partnered with the PLUMgrid to work on Pakistan’s first-ever OpenStack cloud service. Established in 2002, Nayatel has become a leading telecom service provider in Islamabad. OpenStack, on the other hand, is a popular cloud operating system.
This partnership with PLUMgrid will allow the telecom company to provide cloud solutions to the locals in Pakistan. According to Nayatel, an initial evaluation that was conducted by the company needed a network virtualization solution that would be both secure and efficient. After the evaluation, Nayatel has now finally decided to partner with the PLUMgrid to deploy their own Openstack cloud service.
PLUMgrid ONS provides its clients with a flexible, distributed architecture for cloud solutions. This architecture provides low latency with good speeds for the users of the cloud service. Moreover, the programmable data plane used by PLUMgrid ONS allows the cloud service to host Virtual Network Functions.
On an ending note, work is being done on a cloud service by Nayatel in collaboration with the PLUMgrid ONS service. The telecom service is expected to soon release the country’s first OpenStack cloud service.
