National Assembly Passes Special Technology Authority Act To Attract FDI In Pakistan

In recent news, the National Assembly has officially passed a Special Technology Zone Authority Act hence announcing the approval of the bill regarding the development and enhancement of the country’s technological ecosystem. Through the act, the assembly will be able to attract FDI in Pakistan to further bring about development in the tech ecosystem.
Moreover, the government will be providing institutional and legislative support for the tech sector by structuring competitive and export-oriented ideas. In a nutshell, this will lead to newer facilities and more job opportunities for the youth in Pakistan.
The document regarding the act, mentions the creation of the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) which will consist of a chairperson and eight members. This respective authority will be responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of the tech zones. In addition, the Prime minister will be the president of the authority’s board of directors. this board will consist of 25 independent members who will be appointed for the board for about four years by the federal government.
All in all, this is a sure way to further enhance the vision of Digital Pakistan and further bring about changes in the country through the latest technological advancements.
