NADRA BIKER SERVICE TO PROCESS CNICS AT DOORSTEP

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has introduced the NADRA biker service for completing the Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) processes. Whether the applicants demand to renew it or wish to do alterations to it, the process will be done at the applicant’s doorstep. The inauguration ceremony to launch the NADRA biker service was held at the Headquarters of the NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) in Islamabad.

While Rana Sanaullah visited NADRA’s headquarters, its Chairman Tariq Malik informed him about how they are carrying out the processes in the areas primarily affected by floods like Sindh, Balochistan and South Punjab. Due to floods, NADRA buildings have been destroyed, though they saved and shifted the equipment to a safe place. Moreover, he briefed that almost 37 million are suffering from floods.

Therefore, due to floods, people in some areas have lost their CNICs and need dire help, so they must be given access to governments’ relief funds. Tariq Malik mentioned that initially, this service would start in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Hopefully, the NADRA Biker service will spread over the country by the end of this year.

Hence, with NADRA’s Biker service, people will not have to go to NADRA offices due to the biker service doing their work at their doorstep. Female registration officers will use cookies and will only deal with females. Tariq Malik appreciated the minister for caring about the public and thinking of ways to facilitate them.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah praised Chairman NADRA, Tariq Malik is working hard to provide the public with facilities keeping in mind international standards. Moreover, the interior minister claimed that we have various NADRA Registration Centers (NRCs), Mobile Registration Vans (MRVs) and online Pak Identity service/Mobile Applications across the country to make it easy for people to register. With NADRA’s Biker service, people can access our services from their homes.

The minister has instructed the Chairman that he should introduce smart facilities in small towns of all provinces. Likewise, this Biker service of NADRA must expand to other areas and develop an automatic system to register newborns.

Besides, to access NADRA’s Biker service, the public will have to book an appointment either through their website (https:www.nadra.gov.pk), or mobile application (NADRA Rahbar), their Call Centre on 1777 (for subscribers of Mobilink, Ufone, Telenor and Zong) and on (051) 111 786 100 which is only for fixed lines.

Those citizens who cannot go to NADRA’s office can get their ID cards while sitting at their homes. Whereas NADRA will send an ID card to the applicant’s permanent address through courier service.
