Just after a couple of days of PM Khan’s announcement for initiating second phase of the Naya Pakistan Housing Program (NPHP), National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched the registration process across the country under Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (PHDA) titled as, ”A home for every Pakistani at low price; in easy installments.”
One of the premier projects of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision for ‘Naya Pakistan’, is focused to provide affordable housing facility to the low-income sections of the population. According to Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), registration for NPHP will be accepted for only one member of each family on ‘First Come-First Serve’ basis.
The scheme’s web-portal now gives applicants the option to use Credit/Debit card to pay Rs. 250 and register online using the “register online” option. Meanwhile, those applicants who tend to visit e-Sahulat franchise to register for the program, can now simply download the form here before visiting the center. There are around 7,500 NADRA E-Sahulat facilities across the countries and you can find one nearest to you by visiting this link.
The primary objective of the registration process introduced by the PHDA is to collect data from the masses in order to understand their needs and launch housing projects accordingly. Meanwhile, Prime Minister had also emphasized on the importance of collecting housing needs data from the public and expressed his confidence for schemes that would be launched all over the country to overcome the housing shortage being faced by the masses, a figure that has risen to a troubling 10 million.
It is worth mentioning here that the housing project has the potential to boost 40 other allied industries and will also provide sufficient opportunity for individuals who want to invest in these schemes. Previously, during the first phase of the scheme, NADRA had digitized around 500,000 applications to better understand the housing needs of the public in the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme.
Meanwhile, NADRA has advised interested applicants to get a receipt after registering and make sure that their CNIC and Tracking numbers are entered correctly. Make sure to read Terms & Conditions and other relevant information before applying for the scheme. Interested Pakistani citizens from all districts of Pakistan can apply online for the program here.
