This will be an upgraded variant of already launched Moto X4.
Motorola the US-based good old smartphones manufacturer, which became a subsidiary of the Chinese company Lenovo not long ago, is expediting the move to be recognized as a smartphone brand with super fast Android updates. Moto X4 that was launched in August last year, is now enhanced with more memory and some Oreo power. Motorola made the handset official today, complete with 6GB RAM, and the star of the show – Android 8.0 Oreo – out of the box.
More interestingly the new Moto X4 will cost you just $393, making it the first mid-range smartphone to have Android 8.0 Oreo. The phone has 64GB of internal storage, a major upgrade from last year’s 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB model.
The new Moto X4 comes with all the additional features that you expect from Android Oreo, including smart text selection, improved notifications, split-screen apps support, autofill framework for apps such as 1Password and LastPass, and improved battery life.
Just to recall, the Moto X4 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display, the Snapdragon 630 chipset, and a dual-camera setup on the back featuring 12 and 8 MP sensors. Other specs and features include a 3,000 mAh battery, a 16 MP shooter for selfies, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Currently, the newly launched variant is India exclusive, where users can buy it through Flipkart and Moto Hubs with a discount, while we hope to see the smartphone making its debut in other markets in coming months.
