In recent news, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhary stated that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has completed the respective payment towards media houses which is approximately R.s 700 million. This was done as per the decision by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.
According to a recent tweet, the Minister had stated that due to financial obstacles the outstanding amount had not been paid for quite a while. Through this huge sum of money, media houses will be able to overcome their respective difficulties and ensure proper salaries for media workers. This further extends to protection for the respective media houses.
Moreover, the Minister mentioned how it would be an absolute injustice to not enable these media houses to provide salaries to their workers.
