Mobilink has introduced HD Voice to its network. This feature will result in clear phone calls for the Mobilink customers. This is a unique initiative and serves as the latest step by the telecom company to not only enhance the quality of its services, but also provide more benefits to customers.
“Introduction of HD Voice delivers the best call quality to our customers, something, which customers tell us is important to them,” said Asif Aziz, Head of Marketing – Mobilink, adding, “this new service will enrich end-user experience for our customers, while being another important step towards our commitment to deliver the most innovative services through our exceptional 3G network.”
“The service is automatically activated whenever the customer, with a HD Voice compatible smartphone, is within range of Mobilink’s 3G network and the caller at the other end is also a Mobilink customer with an HD voice compatible smartphone. Personally, it has been an exciting project to develop as it offers the greatest improvement in voice communications since the launch of mobile services in the country,” added Khalid Shahzad, CTO – Mobilink, while explaining the mechanics involved behind this free of cost service addition.
According to the Telco, HD voice enables high-quality, crystal clear voice calls because it filters background noise often heard on a regular call. This way it transmits slightly more of the human voice spectrum; making conversations more natural and clear. HD voice is much better for conference calls and can contribute to a reduction in business travel – raising productivity, while reducing environmental impact. Calls which are clearer and easier to understand reduce the fatigue often associated with long conference calls.
