The government of Punjab has agreed to collaborate with China’s Vivo Mobile Company to build a factory in the province to manufacture cell phones. As a result of this initiative, Punjab stands to gain employment opportunities, technological know-how, and economic growth.
During his visit to Shenzhen, China, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, the Minister for Industries and Commerce of Punjab, finalized the agreement.
The minister visited Vivo’s cutting-edge factory on the third day of his visit and saw the creation of mobile phones in operation. Luke, CEO of Vivo, updated the minister on the company’s dedication to innovation and quality during the visit.
During his speech, Mr. Luke revealed that Vivo will be establishing a manufacturing plant in Punjab, a move that reflects the company’s faith in the region’s workers and industrial capacity. Chaudhry Shafay Hussain and Mr. Luke have signed an agreement that is a major step forward in Punjab’s attempts to modernize its industrial base and attract foreign investment.
