Microsoft has announced that it will be ending the free Windows 10 upgrades on July 29th. If you’re still on an older version of Windows then it might be time now to reconsider. Microsoft, when it announced the free update, said that this offer would last for one year. Staying true to its word, Microsoft will be ending the offer on the first anniversary of Windows 10.
This strategy adopted by Microsoft to give out free updates for its latest operating system (OS) version has proved to be quite successful. According to Microsoft, Windows 10 is now running on over 300 million devices around the world which is a great improvement over the not-so-successful Windows 8. Through this free update, Microsoft has also looked to minimize errors and bugs in its latest OS update.
Finally, what will happen after 29th July? You’ll have to pay a handsome amount of $119 (equivalent to PKR 12500) for upgrading to Windows 10. So, if you’re looking forward to using Microsoft’s latest Windows 10, you have till July 29th to get your hands on the free upgrade.
