Microsoft Devices Pakistan made a donation of 10 fully functional PCs to The Garage School (TGS). The donation of the computers reflects the company’s aim of introducing IT education from the grass-root level. The computers, which come equipped with the latest software and hardware, will help get The Garage School get started with IT education and an approach to teaching that can lead to a better tomorrow.

Shabina Mustafa started The Garage School in November 1999 with the aim of educating the under privileged children around the Clifton Area in Karachi. The Garage School, TGS supports over 400 children with an average of 90 students enrolling each year. The social project has made significant contributions to the society. Shabina was happy to receive the donation and and emphasized on the importance of education for all.

While Microsoft Devices’gesture is commendable, there is need for more tech support at the grass root level not only in social projects like The Garage School but also in public schools so maximum children can benefit from the advantages of IT.
