MG Motor Pakistan has announced the price of the locally manufactured MG HS PHEV. The vehicle was recently unveiled at the Pakistan Auto Show 2024, where it drew considerable attention. The company has also opened reservations for this hybrid crossover SUV, setting the pre-booking price at Rs. 2,000,000 (2 million) for interested buyers.
This model is available for a limited time at a discounted price and boasts advanced features and dynamic performance. It is assembled locally as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit.
The locally manufactured MG HS PHEV is available for a limited period at a price of Rs. 9,899,000. Meanwhile, you can save money by reserving it early; the early bird deal is Rs. 9,499,000.
Here are the details of this locally built PHEV, so you can make an informed choice.
The next-gen MG HS PHEV is the latest model from MG, which has joined the trend. Its CKD manufacture is remarkable since it will maintain a competitive pricing. Currently, in Pakistan, you may buy the brand new second-generation HS, not the older first-generation HS.
When compared to rivals like the H6 HEV and Santa Fe Hybrid, the HS offers a technological advantage in PHEVs, leading to an impressive 58 Km/l (according to the firm). We don’t believe this economy is real—58 km/l is ridiculously good—not even CD70 can match it. It should give about 28 to 35 km/l, which is really amazing when we take into account how bad the roads are in Pakistan.
Overall, it’s a decent car. Cabin insulation meets expectations, and body roll is minimal because of wide tires and a low roof height; still, it is there due to the vehicle’s crossover design. The only real drawback is the blind spots on the rear D-pillars, which could be problematic on the roads of Pakistan.
Once you go inside and cover up the MG emblem on the wheel, you won’t be able to tell if it’s a high-end German or Chinese car. Its high-quality construction and meticulous attention to detail are evident in every aspect of this car. The seats are made of PU leather, the dashboard is soft to the touch, the steering wheel is wrapped in leather, and the center panel has a high-end feel that comes from European cars.
