The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 is scheduled to be held again in Islamabad on December 22nd, 2024, sources informed TechJuice.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has been notified of the revised schedule. Further decisions regarding candidates’ roll numbers and examination centers are expected to be finalized in the coming week, sources revealed.
Sources also stated that over 30 examination centers will be established throughout Islamabad to accommodate the 17,597 candidates who have registered for the MDCAT 2024 retake. The recent registration process has revealed a significant decline in the number of candidates who are interested in taking the test.
Previously, 53,105 candidates had registered for the MDCAT; however, only 17,597 have done so. It is worth noting that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) set aside the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 results in October and ordered its retake.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University to retake the MDCAT exam for Islamabad-based applicants within a month, citing that the test was out of the syllabus. Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued the directive in response to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council’s (PMDC) confirmation of the syllabus issue.
