John McAfee, founder of McAfee Associates one of the oldest software companies, popular for making first large-scale antivirus software has an optimistic approach about Bitcoin. Back in July, when there were no signs of Bitcoin’s surge, McAfee came forward and stated boldly that he was willing to stake his name and predicted its price to move above $500,000 within three years or he would eat his d**k on national television.
McAfee has recently tweeted his new prediction, by doubling his last year’s bet, now he claims the price of Bitcoin to reach $1 million by the end of 2020 and he will eat his d**k if proven wrong. Looks likes his foolish, hypothetical, and optimistical prediction, is going to cost him his d**k, as the cryptocurrency has seen a huge blow and its value dropped by 15% as we entered the year 2018.
But McAfee thinks otherwise. He explained in his tweet that when he predicted Bitcoin’s price to be reaching $500,000 by the end of 2020, it was based on the model of reaching $5,000 at the end of 2017. Since it has even crossed $18,000 mark in December 2017, and thus he predicts Bitcoin’s price to reach $1 million. He says,
“When I predicted Bitcoin at $500,000 by the end of 2020, it used a model that predicted $5,000 at the end of 2017. BTC has accelerated much faster than my model assumptions. I now predict Bitcoin at $1 mln by the end of 2020. I will still eat my dick if wrong.”
While there have been many predictions about the price of cryptocurrency and that’s what Bitcoin is all about: speculations. While the recent claim made by McAfee sounds like an awful idea of losing your d**k.
